Under Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution, Congress shall have the authority to coin money and regulate the value thereof. My question therefore is, "Why has our Congress, since 1913, paid interest to a private organization (The Federal Reserve) to perform a function which Congress can itself perform, racking up debt and squandering the prosperity of our nation?".
