We all know that George W. Bush did not follow through on the long held conservative principle of upholding and defending the constitution by pursuing the Patriot act and nationalizing banks and private industry. Many conservatives and republicans are ready to jump ship elsewhere as they feel the party has betrayed what was once the core principles of the party - a limited constitutional government.
Does this mean that the party will re-embrace an edge of libertarianism and common sense that it once had to re-engage it's base?
