What is the Republican party going to do to increase the discussion of the unintended consequences of foreign intervention. There was a term introduced by the CIA called blowback, and it means unforeseen consequences that come with actions. For example when the British and Americans joined forces to overthrow the democratically elected leader of Iran Mohammed Mosaddeq we saw blowback from this action, when the people rose up against the Sha in 1979 and they took hostages. This was no coincidence that they were angry, it was a result of our intervention in their country. What is the Republican party going to do to address blowback, so we can protect our brave soldiers and fragile experiments with democracy in the Middle East?
