There is no reason for my question to be ineligible. This is a perfectly acceptable question to be directed towards the future leadership of the party. If RebuildTheParty really wants to know how to rebuild their base, then you guys can start by not stifling dialogue that you do not wish to discuss. That is the main reason the GOP has lost touch with the base. The GOP has quit listening to the people. Here is my question that was deemed ineligible...... When Washington talks about saving the tax payers money and remedying our increasing debt, very little is said about the billions of dollars of foreign aid being spent around the world. While many of our men and women in the military can't get a timely response to services promised to them because of underfunding why are we sending aid to other countries to deal with their problems? And, will the RNC strongly commit to ridding itself of association with any Party member/candidate who has affiliations with the Council on Foreign Relations? What will you do as chairman to encourage Republicans in offices of all 50 states to restore the balance of state and federal power in our republic to be as the founders expressed in 10th Amendment of the Constitution? It's possible that John McCain could have turned his campaign around and won by opposing the $700 billion TARP fiasco which Obama supported. The classic principles of Republicanism like free-market, laissez faire, and low taxes seem to be fading away. Republicans seem to have grown fonder of foreign intervention, like Nixon and Reagan. For example, under Reagan, America chose to invade Granada. You might wonder why would we need to invade a tiny country like Granada?Their biggest export is nutmeg. Reagan was quoted as saying, "We don't need Granada's nutmeg, we can get perfectly good nutmeg from Africa..." So why did the Reagan agree to invade Granada? What is the Republican party going to do to increase the discussion of the unintended consequences of foreign intervention. There was a term introduced by the CIA called blowback, and it means unforeseen consequences that come with actions. For example when the British and Americans joined forces to overthrow the democratically elected leader of Iran Mohammed Mosaddeq we saw blowback from this action, when the people rose up against the Sha in 1979 and they took hostages. This was no coincidence that they were angry, it was a result of our intervention in their country.
